World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will be able to gain 3percent of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect while they're in use. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of an item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will increase after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Suggested Site and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.
You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.
Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs and there are some rare glyphs to be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
Using the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For example an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an individual player improves the equipment they have the original item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This can be a disadvantage, as it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't require it.
If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste many resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like a dolphin). It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.
Requirements
The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its original condition and the player having to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
